Rockingham 1929 (a model built by Ian Clark.)
Rockingham 1929 is an end to end layout built to P4 (proto 4mm) finescale
standards. It is based on an LNER/LMS county terminus set in South Yorkshire in
1929. It was built by Ian Clark and was the subject of a series of articles in
Railway Modeller starting in 1991. It was extensively exhibited
and has more recently been extensively revised
by Ian with some help from the
Barrowmore MRG
and has appeared again in the Railway Modeller magazine in March 2007. It has
also been taken to two exhibitions: St. Albans and ScaleFour North where, in
both cases, it won best-in-show awards! Excellent modelling from Ian. Ian has
now donated the layout to the Merseyside Model Railway Society - see
their page for more photos.
